Has Barack Obama been using subliminal messages? What does he gain from these subliminal messages? His opponent in the run up to the general election – the republican candidate John McCain – used anti Obama subliminal messages within his campaign adverts to try and link Obama negatively in the mind of the voter.

When talking about Obama in this election video he shows a clip of him speaking to a crowd – but in the crowd is a bunch of signs spelling out the slogan “CHANGE” – an official Obama slogan, however the McCain team edited the sign and blacked out the first letter so it just spells the word “HANG”. This might sound basic, but on a very simple level it is linking Obama negatively in your mind.

But Obama has also used subliminals and there are a lot of videos online showing these… well this is up for debate…

So far there have been 2 occasions where adverts have been found in between other adverts. i.e. the advert just flashes for a second showing Obama’s face. On one of these instances it was just in between 2 adverts. In another it was shown on the Discovery channel just before going to a commercial break.

These adverts have been “exposed” but nothing has been officially heard from the Barak camp about them. It is a mystery if they were done with Obama’s blessing or not. Whether they were done without his knowledge and just and executive decision was made by his campaign manager. Or if the Discovery channel had Obama followers working for it who put the subliminal in themselves.

However they got there because they work. Subliminal advertising does affect the mind, and even slight messages like the ones above will seep into the human mind.
